What' new with Charlie?

Dear Sweet Charlie,
You are 14 months old, and we cannot believe it. Dad and I love you very much. You make our lives so much fun.

Right now you love to talk, talk, talk! What do you like to say?
--duck: this is your word for a duck, a boat, and any other animal or moving object
--mmmmmmm/vroooooooom: this is your word for the noise that a car, truck or boat makes...you say this often
--ch, ch, ch: you do this while you raise your hand and show us a train...this is your version of "choo choo"
--sssh, ssssh, ssssh: this is what you tell me when we see a flag that 'swishes' in the breeze
--da, da, da: you say this for Daddy, Mama, babies, and other items
--dac: when you see a dog, this is what you say
--waf, waf: this is what you call your daily waffle
--nana: bananas are one of your favorite foods
--ta ta: this is what you call a popsicle...the 'flav-o-rite' kind
--bwoop: you have started to call your soy milk 'bwoop' with a quick roll of the lips. it's the funniest sound that we cannot copy.
*Hopefully, I'll have a video of these words so we can have some documentation of this fun play-with-language stage.
Sweet Charlie, you are obsessed right now with American flags. I think you take after your Uncle Gary in this area. When we drive anywhere, you are on the lookout for these "sssh, sssh, ssssh"/"swishes" and you quickly point them out to me along the way by raising your hand and making that sound.

Each morning, you love to eat your Publix brand waffles. When I ask you what you have to do to your waffle, you quickly start blowing to cool it off. Other favorite foods include cherries, peaches, ham, turkey, bananas, crackers, graham crackers, applesauce, spaghetti and other flavorful delights. We did find out last week that you are officially allergic to milk and eggs. Hopefully, we won't have any more breakouts on your sweet little face and body. (Thank you to all who have given advice and help in this area. Charlie's allergist said that he will probably grow out of this allergy. We were just thankful to have some answers to our suspicions of his allergies.)

Well, sweet boy, I've got to get you down from your high chair so you can go play in your car and in your chair. You love those two items that you got for your birthday.

We love you dearly,
Mama and Daddy
