Charlie has a favorite puzzle that his Aunt Jenn gave him. It is filled with transportation items: a jet, a firetruck, boats, buses, etc. I snapped this picture to show you how he likes to line up all of the puzzle pieces. I don't know much about what this says about his personality, but he definitely lines up all of his toys (more pictures to come).

Happy Easter

Yes, these are a bit late, but here are our Easter pictures. As you can see, Charlie was busy at our house, busy looking at the "otter" (aka "water) at church and visiting with lots of friends. He and his buddy, Adair (top left corner), are two days apart and love each other. We also got some pictures with Sally and Wells. He loved hunting for eggs. Let me rephrase that, he loved eating the "jeggy beans" and "swarmies" (aka Smarties) inside the eggs. Since he can't have milk products yet, those are his two sugar fixes. "Swarmies" are a daily treat for us at the Blair household. We also love Aunt Tara, Uncle Chad, Aunt Dane Dane/Dana, and Adair's mommy, Brecca. Thanks for being part of our Easter celebration at church.

After church, Aunt Jenn came over for an Easter brunch. We all devoured our breakfast casserole, muffins, and fruit salad. It was a perfect Easter Sunday! Praise the Lord! He is risen...He is risen indeed!

A Sweet Aroma

Lately in my quiet times, I've been reading in the Old Testament about the people making offerings to God. Many times God wants them to make offerings that are a sweet aroma to Him. As I've been putting Charlie to bed lately, we've been singing the song, "Standing on the Promises of God." It was on one of his hymn cd's that we've listened to in the car. He keeps requesting "Proms! Proms! Proms!" I finally figured out what he was saying--promises. When I've put him to bed the last few times, he has started to sing "Standing, standing, standing" with me. Truly, this has to be a sweet aroma to our Most Gracious God. Charlie, may you always know God and His powers and His goodness. Keep singing praises to Our King, little man.

During the week before Easter, Charlie and I visited our favorite Samford students and dear friend, Lydia. She didn't have class that day, so we recruited her to go on our photo shoot with us. The next few posts will show some of our work. Charlie loves to run now, so the pictures are definitely some action shots. Thanks, Lydia, for all of your hard work. We love our "Iddy."

Demolition 101

If any of you have visited our backyard, you will know that in the summer, it is beautiful. Our pool is a vibrant blue; flowers bloom all around; and we love to be outside. However, we did have a few bushes that surrounded our pool that were an eyesore. Therefore, this past Saturday, we had them taken out. We will replace them with an iron fence to protect little ones (and big ones) from entering our pool without permission. I thought you might like to see some "before" pictures.

Charlie was amazed at "Bob," the bobcat. At out house, we like to name big pieces of equipment.

Bob had a hard time pulling up these stubborn wax myrtles.

Spring has Sprung!

Since the weather has turned warm (at least these last few weeks), we have spent a lot of time outside. As you can tell, Charlie loves the "otter" or water. We will be spending long hours on the deck with the hose. If it keeps him happy, then bring it on!

More Dawson Pics

Right before Easter, we all loaded up and went to the Dawson Easter Egg Hunt. Charlie, April, Gary, and Shelby and I met Adam there for a fun-filled Saturday morning. Charlie loved the bubbles and trying to hunt for eggs. He only got one after all of the kiddos had found them.

The highlight of the morning, though, was riding the "choo-choo" train with his Daddy. He loves any kind of train.
