Giving Thanks!

"Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good." Psalm 118:1

*(This is a long delayed post. The following posts will be a catch up from November. Yes, we are way behind.)

We are trying to teach our children to give thanks in all things and for all of the things and blessings that God has given us. Right before Thanksgiving, we participated in Operation Christmas Child. It is a ministry of Samaritan's Purse. In this project, you fill a shoebox with a variety of items and toys for a child in another country. Our Aunt Meredyth did this with us, and we had a fun time shopping for our kids and packing the boxes. Yes, Charlie wanted to keep a few items, but it really made us talk about how other kids don't always have as much (or anything) as we have anytime or especially at Christmas. I was so thankful to be intentional about teaching Charlie and Jackson about giving to others. We hope that this will be a tradition that we do each year.
