Church Picnic 2011

Our church just hosted a Easter Eggstravaganza and picnic. Charlie and Jackson enjoyed every minute. Here, Aunt Tara is trying to keep up with a Baby Luke, and Baby Jackson is about to leave the premesis.

Charlie surveying the scene.

As Charlie would hunt an Easter egg, he would carefully shake and then open it to see what he found. Then he would find another one; therefore, he only got a few eggs. This process continued throughout the other egg hunts that he attended.
He wants to know that each egg had a treasure inside.

Though we had an Easter egg hunt, the real message of Easter was presented as well: "Jesus is risen; He is risen indeed!"
We are so thankful for our Risen Savior!

Instead of hunting eggs, Jackson hunted Cheerios all throughout the picnic.

We are so thankful for our church, Mountain Brook Community Church. God has truly blessed us with dear friends and a wonderful community there.

*On a side note, please pray for the people in Birmingham and at our church, as a terrible storm and tornado hit there today (April 27th). We have just seen pictures of the storm damage to the church as well as to other areas like Cahaba Heights and Tuscaloosa. May God continue to protect people throughout the night. (The boys and I are in Florida visiting my parents for the week, though we have been in contact with others all day long.)
