Charlie's birthday morning started out with a few presents and a few smiles....but he certainly wasn't himself. I should have known something was up with that little one. We had a fun day picking up his cake, running a few errands and eating lunch at Chik-fil-A. That afternoon some family and friends came over for a little "water party."
Charlie seemed to have fun at his party, but was not his usual talkative, bubbly self. The next morning we took him to the doctor to find out that he had strep. Nice....we exposed about 15 people to this little illness. Fortunately, the only ones (we think) that got sick were Adam, Jackson, and myself. Sorry, Charlie, to have made you party when you weren't feeling well. We'll continue to celegrate "3" some more this summer! More pics to come from his party.
For his birthday, we gave him a little picnic table for lunches on the porch. He also received the book Too Many Toys by David Shannon. I highly recommend this book to all of the parents who trip over toys all day long. It will make you laugh. The teacher in me has to purchase a book for my kiddos for every occasion. Thanks to my Aunt Ann who always gave me books throughout the years! It truly has instilled a love of reading for me and for my kids.
