Our niece, Lily Kate, is ready to meet this baby as well. She told KK (Adam's mom) that she had her bags packed. When we talked to her on the phone the other night, she ended the conversation saying, "Sleep tight, don't let the baby bite." Lily Kate, we can't wait for you to meet this new addition to our family. For a long time, she has predicted that it would be a girl, but last week, she deemed that it was a boy and his name would be "Ashley." We'll see, sweet little cousin.
When we went back to the doctor this week, she told us that we were at the same place we were last week. So we'll keep waiting for this little one that keeps getting bigger. Our doctor said that it is probably already pushing (no pun intended) eight pounds. As Adam says, "Karen, there is no more room in the inn....I don't think you'll make it any longer." Yet, we are still waiting for this precious one!
While we wait, we have found some wonderful treats that all of you should try:
- Brewster's Cake Batter Ice Cream
- Homemade cake batter ice cream: Duncan Hines yellow cake mix with Blue Bunny Vanilla
Flavored ice cream. Mix it up and enjoy! - Chips and Salsa from our favorite Mexican place, El Poblano
- Adam's Homemade Pimento Cheese on wheat thins
- Sonic: Cherry Limeade
- Doodles: Peanut Butter Cup; Raspberry; Key Lime
- Dairy Queen: Heath Bar Blizzard
- Our favorite throughout the whole pregnancy: McDonald's Ice Cream Sundae (I get it with hot fudge; Adam gets it plain)
As I'm looking at this list, I am realizing now why this might be a big Baby Blair! Well, I'm off to go take position on the couch writing thank you notes to all of you, our sweet family and friends!
Here are some recent pictures as we have been preparing for this little one and celebrating his/her arrival:
